The DPS3340 Digilent Discovery USB Programmable Power Supply is a three-channel programmable DC power supply that allows users to control the power delivered to external circuits. Providing constant voltage and constant current modes with built-in readout sensors and optional output channel tracking, you can confidently power your circuits according to your requirements.

Software

The DPS3340 is supported by free WaveForms software, which is compatible with Mac, Linux and Windows. The power supply can be used as a standalone device or in conjunction with any Digilent test and measurement equipment running as its own tool within the WaveForms software - no external triggers or multiple instances of the software are required.

Power supplies

All channels are independently controlled with independent current and voltage settings.

Insulation voltage

The device is isolated from the network by an external power supply. The outputs share a common GND between themselves and the USB connector of the host PCB.

Protection circuits

All three power supplies feature overcurrent protection via software-set current limits that can be applied individually to each channel. Same-polarity aggressor protection and reverse voltage protection operate up to ±15 V.

Tracking mode

When the tracking mode implemented by the software is active, Outputs 2 and 3 will track each other in absolute values, applying any voltage change made in the setting of one channel to the other channel. For example, if Output 1 is set to 12 V, Output 2 will automatically be set to -12 V.

Connectivity

The DPS3340 requires a host computer with WaveForms software, connected via USB, to operate. Connect the device to the computer via USB 2.0 Hi-Speed, Type B.

The DPS3340 requires an additional power source. A compatible power supply is included with the purchase of the DPS3340.
